​Iiyama Snow Ride offers self-guided Fat Bike rentals directly from the Activity Center at Iiyama Station. Without the need for a guide, you are free to explore the town at your own pace.
Experience a “new sensation” as the massive tires grip the snow, giving you a unique floating feeling as you ride. The bikes are stable and safe even for beginners, making this the perfect activity for those who just want to give it a try.

Of course, you are also free to go off-route and explore any alleyway that catches your eye. Please feel free to ask our staff for their personal recommendations on the best shops and local spots!

1⃣ Mayumi Takahashi Museum of Doll Art

A self-taught doll maker, after much trial and error she arrived at her current method of making dolls. Her dolls are primarily patterned after the old men and women living in the snow country of Iiyama, and many of her works reflect their kindness and strength.

2⃣ Iiyama Hand-Made Paper Studio

“UCHIYAMA GAMI” is a beautiful Japanese paper that makes the most of the characteristics of paper. The production of Uchiyama-gami is said to have started more than 300 years ago.

※Drying takes 30 minutes to an hour, so you can do the experience first and pick it up on your way back from cycling.
